User Guide

1. Storage and Stability

High-chroma transparent color-shifting pigments for car paint must be stored in a sealed container in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture. The shelf life is five years.


2. Dispersion Guidelines

The pigments feature a delicate, flake-like structure; therefore, the use of high-shear equipment—such as three-roll mills or sand mills—is strictly prohibited, as this would damage the flake morphology and compromise the optical effects.

It is recommended to use a disperser for mixing at medium-to-low speeds (maintaining a linear velocity of 5–10 m/s). The pigments should first be pre-wetted using a small amount of the system solvent or resin, and then added to the main paint base for dispersion for 30–60 minutes until a uniform mixture is achieved.


3. Application Layering

This product is designed for use within the color coat layer of automotive finishes. By mixing the pigments with the color coat resin system, a dynamic, color-shifting effect is imparted to the paint surface.

An outer clear coat layer must be applied over the color coat to provide protection, enhance gloss, and improve weather resistance.
