Rough surfaces will diminish gloss levels and increase pigment consumption. This product is available exclusively in an 18–25 μm fine-powder grade, making it ideally suited for industrial design components where a refined texture and high opacity are desired.
When used in injection molding, it is recommended to first formulate a pigment masterbatch before blending it with the base resin to ensure uniform dispersion.
Processing temperatures should be maintained within the range of 160–180°C (specifically, DT 01/DT 03 should not exceed 160°C, while DT 02 should not exceed 180°C). Furthermore, residence times should be kept brief to avoid compromising the pigment's performance characteristics.
To preserve optimal color-shifting and gloss effects, formulations should—to the greatest extent possible—avoid the inclusion of additives such as matting agents or wax powders, which may scatter light or hinder the parallel alignment of the pigments.
If the inclusion of such additives is deemed absolutely necessary, it is recommended to first conduct preliminary testing to assess their impact and to limit their usage to the absolute minimum required.
