2. Interference Coating Layer (Key to Color Change / Angle Coloration)
The alternating multi-layer nano-coating is the source of color change:
Titanium Dioxide TiO₂ (anatase / rutile): High refractive index, used as the main interference layer
Silicon Dioxide SiO₂: Low refractive index, used as the spacer buffer layer
Iron Oxides (Fe₂O₃): Warm tones (gold, copper, red, rose gold)
Titanium Oxide SnO₂: Coating stabilizer, enhances adhesion, prevents color change, and resistance to acid and alkali
Chromium Oxide Cr₂O₃: Green color illusion (high-end nail polish chameleon)
3. Surface Coating Modified Layer (Essential for Nail Polish System)
To adapt to the nail polish solvent, resin, and long-term immersion, surface treatment must be carried out:
Silane Coupling Agent
Resistant to acetone and nail polish solvents, preventing the coating from peeling off, fading or delaminating.
Fatty acid coating
Stearic acid, oleic acid, etc., are hydrophobic and anti-settling, easy to disperse. They do not form clumps or float oil in nail polish.
Polymer coating
Acrylic / polyester coating, enhances compatibility with nail polish resin, prevents settling and roughness reoccurrence.
4. Auxiliary Color Adjustment and Functional Components
Pearl Whitening Agent: A small amount of silica and talcum powder are used to slightly adjust the transparency of the base color.
Color Powder: Inorganic color powder (iron oxide) is used for minor color adjustment. Dyes are not used (to avoid solvent solubility issues).
Antioxidant and Stabilizer: Prevents the nail polish from turning yellow over time and prevents the coating from oxidizing.
